SAN BENITO – The City of San Benito will celebrate Independence Day Saturday at ResacaFest.
Festivities start at 4 p.m. at Heavin Memorial Park, 705 N. Bowie St. Admission is free.
The live music begins at 4:30 p.m., and the fireworks show starts at 9:15 p.m.
Live music will continue after the fireworks until the event ends at 11 p.m.
Live performances include Madelyn Victoria, Cristina y Los Latinos, Marlisa Vela, La Nueva Maravilla and Infusion Live Band.
ResacaFest will also feature food vendors, cold beverages, arts and crafts displays and children’s activities.
This year’s celebration will also feature a car show and a hotdog and pie eating contest.
