The Salvation Army of McAllen is offering emergency shelter from 5 p.m. until whenever necessary, a spokesperson said Wednesday.
People in need of shelter are asked to bring photo identification and bring basic necessities like changes of clothing and medication.
Pets will not be allowed.
The Salvation Army of McAllen is located at 1600 N. 23rd St. in McAllen.
