To kick off its Thursday Night Live for the summer, Quinta Mazatlán is inviting the community to its Superhero Trail through the woods event this Thursday.
The event will take place from 6 to 8 p.m. at Quinta Mazatlán, located at 600 Sunset Drive.
There will be 6-foot tall comic book covers throughout the trail, as well as over 75 life size painted wood pegs of comic book superheroes created by local artists Celerino Castillo and Gaby Rico.
Quinta Mazatlán also encourages those planning to attend to dress as a superhero for fun photo opportunities with Batman, Spider-man and Bumblebee.
Additionally, the trail will begin with local entities and their vehicles along Sabal Palm Drive to provide information to attendees and let attendees view and take photos of their vehicles.
The release said the following entities will be in attendance: Border Patrol, the McAllen Fire Department, the McAllen Police Department, McAllen Public Utilities, McAllen Public Works, the McAllen Recycling Center and others.
Thursday Night Live kicks off June 8 and will continue on Thursday evenings through Aug. 17, the release stated.
The park admission is $3 per person, which includes the program.
Thursday Night Live is sponsored by South Texas Health Systems Children’s, Freels Orthodontics, Whataburger and the Radisson McAllen Hotel.
