The Brownsville Independent School District has postponed the commencement ceremony for Veterans Memorial Early College High School until Thursday, June 8, 2023, with a location to be determined based on the weather.
The ceremony had been scheduled Monday evening at Sams Memorial Stadium but was called off because of thunderstorms.
Earlier, BISD postponed the graduation ceremony for Porter Early College High School, originally scheduled Sunday at Sams but rained out, for Wednesday in the Rivera High School gymnasium.
Due to limited seating, each graduating student was issued two tickets for the ceremony, which is to begin at 6:30 p.m.
