Veterans and community members attend a public ceremony that included veterans’ remarks to honor the decommissioned USS Kitty Hawk on Tuesday morning at the Cameron County Amphitheater in Isla Blanca Park on South Padre Island.
The carrier will be dismantled and recycled at the Port of Brownsville.
