Bi-District Champs
The Harlingen High School South Softball team secured the bi-district championship following their win on Thursday, April 25 at a best of three series held at Edinburg North. The Lady Hawks won the first two of three games.
Coakley students qualify for state championship
Coakley Middle School students Vincent Tapia, Yafah Russek, Nathan Mowers, and Timmy Mowers along with their coach Mr. Mark Oelerich attended the Texas Math and Science Coaches Association State competition held at the University of Texas at San Antonio in late April. The students qualified for the state championship after attending the regional competition, where the team placed 1st in number sense.
Dancing the night away
Harlingen High School Students dance during the spring formal held on campus on May 1. The Broadway theme provided the ambiance for the afternoon.
Safety patrol volunteers
Elementary students, who are part of the safety patrol on their campuses, spent part of the afternoon at the Harlingen Sports Complex on Wilson Road. The Lions Club of Harlingen provided lunch for the students on May 2 to show appreciation for the safety patrol volunteers.
