HARLINGEN — Have extra books lying around the house?
The Retired Teacher’s Association will be hosting a book drive at the end of the month to raise books for the Ronald McDonald House and local schools.
The association are looking to put boxes in local stores to make it easier for people to donate.
In the past, members donated books with money from their own pocket and collections, but due to the growing number of elementary schools, they found a need to reach out to the community.
The association will meet later this month and reach out to local businesses to put out donation boxes.
