Cold front may bring thunderstorms

HARLINGEN — A weak cold front drifting southward across Texas is expected to stall out tonight with thunderstorms possible ahead of the front in the Rio Grande Valley.

National Weather Service forecasters say the best chances of showers and thunderstorms looks to be on Tuesday, favoring the western counties, where the moisture is the highest.

The strongest storms, if they occur, are predicted to be in the Upper Valley in Zapata and Jim Hogg counties.
