The Harlingen school board agreed Tuesday to cancel May elections.
No one filed to run against School Board President Gerry Fleuriet and board member Javier De Leon.
The February 17 deadline came and went with no one challenging Fleuriet who has been on the board for 20 years. De Leon has served on the board for 11 years.
