McALLEN — A group of Gulf Cartel members who participated in the botched 2011 kidnapping of a man they mistakenly thought had stolen drugs from a plaza boss learned their fate in McAllen federal court on Friday.

To celebrate all of the Precinct 3 high school graduates, commissioner Everardo “Ever” Villarreal announced he will be hosting a pizza giveaway this Friday in La Joya.

Various firefighters from across the upper Valley came together Sunday afternoon to help put out a warehouse fire in McAllen, the Weslaco Fire Department said.
