Letters: Focus on fact

It appears that many who write letters to the editor want to rewrite Webster’s dictionary. Webster’s defines “blame” in short as: “the responsibility for a fault or wrong.” Republicans, on the other hand, seem to believe it means the inaccurate, irresponsible, self-serving act of accusing their target of doing, saying or supporting something or someone they don’t like. Then they amplify the accusation with hearsay or information from biased sources.

Please, Republicans, tell us where you found your information. Oh yes, your most common current sources like, “I heard,” “everyone knows,” and “it’s common knowledge that” don’t count. Please don’t make the editors research the source or accuracy of your opinions for you.

Biden

praised

The Biden bashers are furious with President Biden because he laid down the law during his eloquent yet understandable message to the American people saying, “So I’ve come to fulfill my constitutional obligation to report on the state of the union … because the soul of this nation is strong, because the backbone of this nation is strong, because the people of this nation are strong, the state of the union is strong,” and not once saying he did it all by himself as the other president loved to brag.

Even the GOP in the RGV know exactly well that Mr. Biden is doing extremely well, thus the country’s economy is doing extremely well. If only American right-wingers would accept that fact we’d be much better off, in terms of uniting us all. Accept Biden is a great leader, and not a sore loser.

Even Fox commentators said Biden’s speech was brilliant and effective in communicating to all Americans. He was on message, defied the GOP hecklers even making Marjorie Taylor Greene angrier. But, well, she’s doomed to destroy herself and never win again.

The “balloon”? The Pentagon says they jammed all its capability to spy as soon as it entered Alaska’s airspace. Biden knew exactly when to destroy it.

Envious Republicans, offer a plan to help America or get out of the way. Stop trying to engage president Biden because you’ll lose every time. He has proved it time and again. Little old Joe is just getting started again and he’s getting better (man); 2024, here comes Joe.

Viva president Biden and viva the good old USA.

Collusion,

treachery

The flashy national TV news story focusing on friendly robots walking around the University of Texas at Austin campus covers up a much bigger technology story breaking at the same time but receiving very little attention.

We learn that some of the surveillance components of Chinese spy balloons were sold to the communists by western and American capitalists, at the expense of future generations who will be menaced and perhaps even enslaved by China.

That continuously developing back-burner story of corporate/government collusion and treachery has been covered up for about 100 years, starting with American investment in Lenin’s Russia in the 1920s.

The job of truth-telling commentators is to examine the various fresh ruins of our society found strewn across the countryside, as if recently wasted by earthquakes, but also to excavate older ruins covered up by layers of green growth, mounds that yield histories we never knew anything about.
