Bad boy Republicans

On July 29, the letter “Writer critiqued” by Joel Ramirez of Edinburg asks me to explain my list of bad boy Republicans; well, here you go.

Donald Trump: With an average of 21 lies a day, that’s more than lies according to daily tally by The Washington Post during his presidency. He’s a bigot, racist, dishonest, clown, narcissist, egotistical, ignorant, incompetent, idiot, and of course on Jan. 6 the insurrection attempt to stop democracy in the peaceful transfer of power of the presidency and went as far to enrage his domestic terrorists to march upon the Capitol and seek out the vice president. Do I need to say more?

Marjorie Taylor Greene: Just spoke at a White nationalist convention and harassed Parkland school shooting student survivor David Hogg, saying he was using dead children, that he was a coward, when he was in D.C. to discuss gun control (caught on video). By the way, she also said 9/11 was a hoax.

Lauren Boebert; the list is long, here is just the outline: She continues to stroke the big lie that the election was stolen. She broke federal campaign laws, was AWOL after the mudslides, a la Ted Cruz.

Speaking about Ted Cruz, everyone remembers, except maybe not Mr. Ramirez, in the mid of our electric grid malfunction with freezing temperatures where several people lost their lives, including an 11-year-old boy who froze to death, Ted was on a plane to Cancun.

Matt Gaetz is under investigation for child sex trafficking, when he took a 17-year-old girl on vacation across state lines.

Jim Jordan is accused of knowing, and doing nothing, about the serial sexual assaults of students at OhioStateUniversity.

Mitch McConnell, let me count the ways: He opposes a wage increase, voted against stopping American jobs from going overseas and said government should cut Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid. He would not let President Obama’s Supreme Court pick go to a vote, because it was an election year.

Josh Hawley, fist-pumped the animals during the insurrection on Jan. 6, 2021, and later (Patas pa’qué son — feet what are you for?) ran like a chicken.

Kevin McCarthy: Just like Lindsay Graham, denounced Trump’s actions and then kissed Trump’s ring.

Paul Gosar: Made a video of killing U.S. Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and swinging swords at President Biden. If Mr. Ramirez did this he might be in jail.

Ron DeSantis: When the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases imposed a mask mandate, DeSantis said he would punish any schools with fines if they made students wear masks, and even went as far to scold some high school students that had them on, telling them, “Take those things off, that’s ridiculous.”

Greg Abbott: Like DeSantis, he took off mask mandates, How is that working with BA.5 lurking around? COVID-19 was like, “Say hello to my little friend, BA.5.”

Marco Rubio: When the school shooting occurred at a Parkland, Fla., school and he went to show his support, a student asked him point-blank: “Are you willing to say you will not take money from the NRA,” twice, he looked like a deer caught in the headlights, with no respond except to say, “The NRA buys into my agenda; I don’t buy into theirs.”

Last but not least, comb that wild hair, Rand Paul. He has repeatedly said to ignore all COVID-19-related guidelines set by the medical field. He didn’t vaccinate; no mask, no brains!
