The right-wing majority Supreme Court, in accordance with an NRA mandate, voted to strike down a New York law wherein to carry a concealed gun a person needed to prove a specific need. In other words, putting more guns out on the streets of the largest city in America. With this ruling, the court is saying states don’t have a right to make their own laws regulating guns.
Then they turn around and state that states have the right to make their own laws on reproductive rights.
We have come to the time when the Supreme Court has been totally politicized and is no longer a neutral judicial body that follows the rule of law regardless of the politics.
The Supreme Court had taken a step that is contrary to the idea of three separate and independent governmental bodies that are crucial to our system of government, crucial to the survival of our democracy.
