Trump probe spurs criticism

Here we go again! The “holier than thou” Democrats in Congress are again seeking to destroy the name of Donald Trump and those who supported him. After two drawn-out impeachments that cost millions of taxpayer dollars, this bunch is on another witch hunt of destruction with the current Jan. 6 congressional committee hearings.

These hearings investigating the mob and riots that occurred on Jan. 6 make up another completely partisan group in which only selected Republicans were allowed to participate. These Republicans were selected by Queen Pelosi and they are very publicly known to be hypercritical of President Trump. This committee, as is normal with Democratic Party investigations, is presenting only portions of the entire ordeal and is omitting bits of information that don’t fit their accusatory proceedings.

It would seem that Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Schumer should be made to answer questions regarding White House security leading up to the Jan. 6 events. They won’t be.

It also seems that portions of Trump’s dialogues have be been cut and pasted to fit their narrative.

It is but another one-sided Trump destruction attempt much like the Russian hoax perpetuated by Hillary Clinton, the Democratic Party and the Justice Department early in the Trump administration prior to impeachment proceedings.

These hyped-up, Hollywood-style TV productions are nothing more than an attempted distraction from the many failed Biden policies currently eating away at the safety and financial security of every U.S. citizen. Thinking back, I don’t remember empty grocery shelves, exorbitant gas prices, high inflation or being on the possible brink of war under the Trump administration and yet he is constantly vilified by the mainstream media and the left as being a complete disaster in office.

I hope the voice of working America will speak loud and clear in November and vote for common sense by voting Republican. MAGA.

commentary

I read Sherwood D. Uhrmacher’s commentary, “Winds of revolution approaching gale force” (June 10), with great interest. But with all due respect, didn’t the “winds of revolution” begin when a mob of Trump supporters started ranting and rioting on the U.S. Capitol grounds on Jan. 6, 2021?

Furthermore, those same radical protesters stormed the halls of Congress in an attempt to bully the lawmakers

into altering their electoral votes to certify the results of the 2020 presidential election that same day.

It’s obvious that neither a White House nor a Justice Department gave any approval to encourage groups of

people to wreak havoc on the sanctity of a constitutional rite of passage in our nation’s history.

Mr. Uhrmacher pointed out that there were “mobs of protesters showing up at Supreme Court justices’ homes to rant and bully them into altering their votes” in the imminent reversal of Roe v. Wade.

So the difference here is that the pro-choice advocates who protested outside the homes of the Supreme Court members (with no evidence of bullying) knew exactly when to stay put while the mob of Trump supporters who raided the Capitol building did not.

May our country approach calm waters sooner rather than later.
