McALLEN — An interline partnership between Emirates and Aeromar announced Tuesday will allow travelers using the McAllen International Airport opportunity to more easily tie into Emirates’ global network.
According to a city news release, the partnership will allow customers to book tickets to fly to and from a dozen destinations in Mexico and the U.S. covered by the agreement via Mexico City, among them McAllen.
Connecting on an Emirates’ flight between Mexico City, Barcelona and Dubai, customers will then have the option to step onto planes bound for more than 120 cities across the world.
“Aeromar is very proud to partner with Emirates, globally recognized for its excellence of service and unrivaled Dubai hub,” wrote Fabricio Cojuc, Aeromar’s executive director for network strategy and alliances. “The agreement is a testament to Aeromar´s high quality standards and further enhances our strong interline cooperation portfolio, which includes several industry leading international airlines serving Mexico.”
The agreement will allow customers to book their entire trip on one ticket with uniform baggage and fare conditions, the release said, tickets that can be booked through emirates.com or travel agents.
“Emirates is delighted to enter into this interline partnership with Aeromar,” Adnan Kazim, Emirates’ chief commercial officer, wrote in the release. “The strength of Aeromar’s regional flight network will allow us to connect a large number of travellers from cities in Mexico and Texas, United States to our global network via Mexico City, Barcelona and Dubai. Customers will not only have the opportunity to experience Emirates’ signature hospitality and flight experience but will also have the convenience of booking their journey from Mexico on a single ticket available online on Emirates’ website or through their travel agents.”
