Power outage affecting 6,000 customers in McAllen; restoration expected this morning

There are around 6,200 AEP Texas customers without power in the McAllen, North McAllen area, a company spokesman said Wednesday morning.

The spokesman said an outage was to blame and that the estimated time of restoration is around 11 a.m.

McAllen residents had reached out to The Monitor inquiring about the outage, saying it was affecting the North McAllen area.
