Wendy’s is ready to serve the city of Mercedes.
Last Friday, the city’s Chamber of Commerce and the Development Corporation of Mercedes held a grand opening celebration for the new restaurant at 8001 E. Expressway 83.
“We are thrilled to welcome Wendy’s to Mercedes,” Fred Gonzalez, board president of the city’s Chamber of Commerce, said in the release. “The grand opening was a huge success, and we’re excited to see the positive impact that this new restaurant will have on our local economy.”
The celebration was “a huge success” as it featured music, prizes and giveaways such as the first 100 dine-in customers being awarded free Wendy’s for a year, the release said.
“We are proud to have Wendy’s join the Mercedes business community,” Melissa Ramirez, executive Director of the Development Corporation of Mercedes, said in the release.
“The restaurant will create job opportunities for our residents and help drive economic growth in our city.”
