Hellboy is coming to the Rio Grande Valley.

Just kidding, but the actor who plays him, Ron Perlman, will be here along with other celebrities and voice actors at this year’s annual South Texas Comic Con in McAllen.

The three-day event will kick off Friday, April 28 and run through Sunday, April 30 at the McAllen Convention Center, located at 700 Convention Center Blvd. in McAllen.

Comic Con gives fans the opportunity to show off their creativity and love for TV and films and even fangirl and fanboy moments as they celebrate their favorite characters from pop culture. Also, expect plenty of impressive cosplaying.

Valley residents will get the opportunity to meet celebrities such as Giancarlo Esposito most recently known for his role in the Disney+ series “The Mandalorian” as Moff Gideon; William Shatner from “Star Trek: The Original Series;” Austin St. John, the original Red Ranger from the “Mighty Morphin Power Rangers;” and other celebrity guests.
