US Marshals ask for help finding Houston murder suspect who may be in Edinburg

United States Marshals are asking the public for help in finding a man accused of shooting and killing a man during an argument in a parking lot in Houston in early December.

Police believe Miguel Angel Gomez, 49, who is charged with murder, to be in the Rio Grande Valley area, specifically Edinburg.

Gomez is described as standing 5 foot, 6 inches tall, weighs 150 pounds, has brown eyes and brown hair with scars on his face and lip, and is considered armed and dangerous.

Gomez also has tattoos on his left hand and upper left arm.

He is also on parole for the offense of sexual assault of a child which occurred in 2009.

According to the Houston Police Department, the shooting occurred at 8695 Mesa Drive at around 6:10 p.m. on Dec. 8.

Upon arrival, police found an unresponsive 35-year-old male in the parking lot with multiple gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics.

“A preliminary investigation indicated the victim had an altercation with a suspect(s) outside of a business, which led to the shooting,” a news release said.
