As the city of Edinburg prepares for its 54th annual Fiesta Edinburg they expect various road closures to accommodate the festivities.
South Closner Boulevard will be closed Saturday beginning at 8 a.m. for the Fiesta Edinburg Parade which will begin at 10 a.m. and move toward the Hidalgo County Courthouse.
During that time South Closner Boulevard between Mark S. Pena Drive through Cano Street will be closed.
The parade is scheduled to kick off at the Richard Flores Stadium located at 1800 S. Stadium Drive in Edinburg.
As for the other festivities, which will take place at the Bert Ogden Arena from Thursday through Sunday, the city is asking attendees to enter the arena through East Alberta Road.
During Friday and Saturday’s concert days, all the south side parking at Bert Ogden Arena will be reserved for ticketed concertgoers.
