Motorcyclist dies after crash in San Carlos

SAN CARLOS — Texas Department of Public Safety troopers are investigating a two-vehicle crash that left a motorcyclist dead Thursday afternoon.

Motorcyclist David Garcia Harley, of Bastrop, was killed after colliding with a 2003 Chevrolet Silverado in San Carlos shortly before 5:30 p.m. Thursday, according to a news release from DPS.

A preliminary investigation revealed the Silverado, which was occupied by two men, was making a left turn onto State Highway 107 from 83rd Street, the release said.

Harley was traveling west on Highway 107 and collided with the Chevrolet.

The 29-year-old motorcyclist died of his injuries at the scene.

Neither the driver nor the passenger of the Chevrolet were transported to the hospital.

DPS troopers continue to investigate.
