Mission man killed in hit-and-run Sunday; DPS seeks suspected vehicle

A Mission man died Sunday after a hit-and-run incident, resulting in the Texas Department of Public Safety seeking information on the suspected vehicle, according to a news release Monday.

David Lee Reyes, 25, died at DHR Health in Edinburg where he was transported after being hit by a black Chrysler 300 at around 7:49 p.m. on Farm-to-Market 2221 and Brushline Road.

Reyes was riding a Honda motorcycle.

According to the preliminary investigation, the Chrysler fled the scene, driving southbound on Brushline, and has damage to its rear right door and rear quarter area on the right.

DPS is asking anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of the Chrysler or driver to call their Weslaco headquarters at (956) 565-7600.
