A young man and woman were arrested Tuesday for allegedly holding a woman against her will inside an Edinburg home.
Edinburg police say they were called to a possible kidnapping after 9 a.m. Tuesday and learned that a woman “was being held against her will” at a home located in the 300 block of Keystone Street.
Investigation led to the arrests of Josue Eduardo Garcia-Mendoza and Stephanie Guadalupe Pena, who were both charged with aggravated kidnapping and a single count of smuggling of a person. Both are 21 years old.
Garcia-Mendoza is being held on a $110,000 bond while Pena received a $100,000 bond.
There is a third suspect involved who has yet to be arraigned, according to Edinburg police.
“This case is still under investigation,” the city said in a news release.
