Possessing a crack pipe and exposing himself in public landed a 65-year-old Brownsville man in jail, according to Brownsville police.
Jesus De La Cruz was arrested early Friday morning on one count of indecent exposure and one count of possession of drug paraphernalia, said investigator Martin Sandoval, spokesman for the Brownsville Police Department.
The incident is alleged to have occurred at the 600 block of West Elizabeth Street where De La Cruz entered the business. Someone at the business noticed De La Cruz had a pipe out and was smoking something from it, Sandoval said.
“De La Cruz then unzipped his pants and exposed his genitals to the victims. De La Cruz started to yell at the victims as he was exposing himself,” Sandoval said.
Police went to the location, found the crack pipe in De La Cruz’s possession, and placed him under arrest on the charges, police said.
He was arraigned Friday morning and his bonds totaled $4,350.
