Texas Department of Transportation officials have announced the southbound I-69E Ed Carey Drive exit ramp will be closed from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesday.
The closure is needed to repair the pavement of the exit, officials said.
This ramp is an access to Harlingen Medical Center and Valley Baptist Medical Center.
Official urge motorists to seek an alternate route while repair work is being done.
The ramp pavement work is only expected to require a one-day closure.
All work is weather permitting.
