Weslaco police are investigating a homicide that occurred early Saturday morning.
According to a release, the department responded to a report of a stabbing in the 100 block of South Cedro Street about 1 a.m. Saturday.
When officers arrived they found two men with lacerations to their bodies.
“Weslaco EMS arrived and transported both victims to nearby hospitals, where one of the victims succumbed to his injuries,” a news release from police said.
The department detained a 32-year-old man in connection to the incident, the release said.
“This case is still ongoing and more details will be available at a later time,” it said.
