Hidalgo County sheriff’s investigators said the death of a Donna man Friday evening was accidental.
After responding to the 1400 block of Business 83 in rural Donna deputies found the body of a “lifeless male,” who was later identified as 61-year-old Efrain Lopez Rivera.
The wounds found on Rivera were determined superficial after an autopsy was performed Monday.
The autopsy found the death to have been accidental with no other signs of foul play, the sheriff’s office said on Facebook on Tuesday.
The circumstances surrounding how his death was accidental remain unclear.
