PHARR – The exit and entrance ramps for Sioux and Jackson roads will be closed for months beginning this week as construction continues on the I-2/I-69C Interchange Project, according to a TXDOT news release.
Beginning Wednesday, the Jackson Road exit and entrance ramp on eastbound I-2 will be closed for an estimated six months.
TXDoT, however, will open a temporary exit ramp between Jackson Avenue and Jackson Road for motorists needing to access the area.
On Thursday, the Sioux Road entrance and exit ramps on southbound I-69C will also be closed for an estimated two months.
Motorists needing to exit southbound Sioux Road will need to utilize the Nolana Loop exit ramp, road officials said.
“All work is weather permitting,” the news release said.
TXDOT reminded all drivers to stay alert and slow down in road work zones, be aware of lane closures and alternate routes, and to follow all traffic control updates.
