Nurses are more important than ever to saving lives.
With existing diseases continuing to impact the health of residents throughout the Rio Grande Valley, as well as the ongoing impacts of the late stages of the COVID-19 pandemic, Valley Baptist Health System is looking to recruit registered nurses, certified nursing assistants, and other allied health professionals with a passion for caring for those who need it the most.
Nurses and other allied health professionals are invited to apply for a wide variety of positions at both Valley Baptist Medical Center-Brownsville and Valley Baptist Medical Center-Harlingen.The hospitals are seeking professionals to work in a number of departments, including the Emergency Department, Intensive Care Unit, and Labor & Delivery.

To help interested professionals navigate the hiring process, Valley Baptist Health System has planned a number of hiring events for not only the month of June, but into July as well. Valley Baptist-Harlingen will host an ICU RN hiring event on Thursday, June 17 from 10 a.m. – 1 p.m., and additional hiring events for Emergency Department nurses, surgical services nurses, and registered respiratory therapists are planned for later in July.
Valley Baptist Medical Center-Brownsville Chief Nursing Officer Michelle Aguilar said the COVID-19 pandemic highlighted the Valley’s need for quality nursing professionals.

In-person hiring events will comply with CDC safety guidelines requiring masks and social distancing.
