The Brownsville Independent School District will hold a second vaccination clinic for 920 district employees.
The clinic will be held at 8 a.m. Friday, March 12, at Veterans Memorial Early College High School located at 4550 U.S. Military Hwy 281.
Th first dose is only Brownsville ISD employees. Preregistration is required at www.bisd.us. The site will be activated on Thursday morning. Staff without internet access, can call the district’s main line at (956) 548.8000 for help with registration. No walk-ins will be allowed at the vaccination clinic.
Employees must present a valid photo ID and must always remain in their vehicles.
On Saturday, 1,000 BISD employees were given Moderna vaccines. Overall, BISD has 7,000 employees district-wide.
Last week, President Joe Biden urged state health officials to include all educators as priority recipients of the vaccinations.
