On Feb. 15, the Primera Police Department received a report of an outcry made by a 15-year-old, police said.

According to a police press release, the victim is said to have been sexually assaulted approximately five years ago.

Police said the victim identified the suspect as Antonio Guardiola Jr., 30.

Police said the victim was interviewed at Maggie’s House, a local child advocate center.

Police said that according to the interview, the alleged sexual assault had taken place at the victim’s home. Based on the information obtained by the Primera Police Department, an arrest warrant for Guardiola was issued on the charge of aggravated sexual assault of a child, a first-degree felony, according to police.

According to police, Guardiola turned himself over to the Primera Police Department on March 4.

Justice of the Peace Janie Jaimez set bond at $50,000.00. Guardiola was then transported to the county jail.
