Frigid temperatures and a light to heavy drizzle on Friday morning did not prevent hundreds of individuals to line up to wait to get their second dose of the Moderna vaccine at the Brownsville Sports Park.
Some people showed up at the vaccination clinic as early as 3 a.m. braving the 30 degree temperatures.
A long line of cars formed on FM 511 and circle into Old Alice Road making their way to the Brownsville Sports Park.
People attending this morning’s vaccination received their first Moderna vaccine on Jan. 15.
On Thursday, the U.S. government said it has secured contracts for another 200 million doses of coronavirus vaccine, meaning there are now enough shots in the pipeline to inoculate “all Americans,” President Biden announced, the Associated Press reported.
