The Brownsville Independent School District and the City of Brownsville Fire Department hosted a Fire Prevention Week curbside event Wednesday at Vermillion Elementary School.
Goodies and information about fire prevention were handed out to parents via curbside delivery at the school.
Because of the COVID-19 pandemic, Fire Prevention Week activities are being held differently this year, officials said.
Information is still being distributed to the community and officials are adhering to the COVID-19 guidelines.
