At least 1,000 Brownsville Independent School District employees took part in a coronavirus vaccination drive-thru clinic on Saturday.
The clinic was held at Veterans Memorial Early College High School where employees were offered first-dose Moderna vaccines.
Last week, President Joe Biden urged state health officials to include all educators as priority recipients of the vaccinations.
Overall, BISD has 7,000 employees district-wide.
