Tito’s Handmade Vodka will be providing free hand sanitizers to the public Saturday at the Brownsville Sports Park.
The company said 20,000 bottles of 375 ml will be given away from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. while supplies last.
The sports park is located at 1000 Sports Park Blvd., off Expressway 77/83.
Due to the recent spike in COVID-19 cases in the Rio Grande Valley, Tito’s has shifted its work to making hand sanitizers. The company has donated hand sanitizers to critical frontline workers at over 500 organizations in Central Texas and to 30 states across the United States.
Saturday’s distribution will be contactless and each car will receive three bottles of hand sanitizer. Those picking up the hand sanitizers must wear a mask in their car. Accommodations will be made to those on bikes and pedestrians.
Those picking up the hand sanitizers must be 18 years of age or older.
“We’ve seen a lot of demand for hand sanitizer in Texas and want to continue to supply the residents of our home state with our hand cleanser to help keep them safe,” said Taylor Berry, VP of Brand Marketing at Tito’s Handmade Vodka. “After giving away sanitizer for free in Austin, Dallas and San Antonio earlier this month, we’re now here in Brownsville to give back to the Rio Grande Valley, one of the nation’s hardest hit COVID-19 hotspots. We have plans to expand this program to additional Texas cities in the coming weeks.”
