MERCEDES — If you want your child to get a free or reduced-price meal this school year, now is the time to sign up.
The South Texas Independent School District is now accepting 2019–2020 free and reduced-price meal applications. The applications can be obtained at all six campuses and on the STISD website.
Eligibility requirements vary according to family size, income and need.
For example, a family of four seeking free lunches cannot have an annual household income of more than $33,475. For reduced price lunches, the annual household income cannot exceed $47,638.

Applications for free or reduced-price meals can be found at all six STISD campuses and at the website at http://www.stisd.net/departments/nutrition.
To have an application mailed, call the campus or Child Nutrition Office at (956) 514-4236. Families can also complete the application through their Infinite Campus Parent Portal.
