RAYMONDVILLE — State troopers are investigating an auto/bicycle crash that killed a cyclist from Raymondville.
Domingo Sanchez-Loyola, 51, was riding a bicycle westbound on FM 1762, Bay Avenue, north of Raymondville and east of County Road 398.
A Toyota Sequoia occupied only by the male driver also was traveling westbound on FM 1762 when the vehicle struck the bicycle about 9 p.m. Friday.
Sanchez-Loyola was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the Toyota was not taken to the hospital.
