Cameron County has confirmed five more COVID-19 related deaths and 303 new coronavirus cases here.
The deaths were reported in Brownsville, Harlingen, La Feria and San Benito.
This raises the total number of coronavirus-related deaths here to 1,198, Cameron County Public Health said in a statement Wednesday.
Also Wednesday, the health department said it has confirmed an additional 303 COVID-19 cases here, raising the total number of cases in Cameron County to 30,768.
New cases were reported in Brownsville, Combes, Harlingen, La Feria, Lozano, Los Fresnos, Los Indios, Olmito, Palm Valley, Port Isabel, Primera, Rio Hondo, San Benito, Santa Maria and Santa Rosa.
There have also been an additional 151 individuals who have recovered, raising the total number of recovered individuals to 25,902.
