Christmas is a favorite celebration for many around the world. We enjoy this time with delicious food, gifts, famous posadas, and family.
These are holly jolly days and the 12 days of Christmas filled our classrooms with joy. Students wore “Twas the Night Before Christmas” pajamas, “Baby It’s Cold Outside” beanies and scarves, ugly sweaters, holiday hats, elf shoes, cozy socks, red and green attire with sparkling ornaments and lights along with a South Texas Christmas with our RGV weather bust out theshades!
Decorating trees with various decorationswith conversations of who has been naughty or nice were a part of this holiday season.
“We began with our Annual Lighting of the Christmas Trees. Teachers and students at home decorated their Christmas trees and we all lit our trees at the same time on December 4. Christmas trees remain on throughout the month of December and adorn our hallways bringing life, joy, and hope to our children,” shared Dr. Raul Garza, Jr. STEAM Academy Fine Arts Teacher Christian Rodriguez.
“Scholars continue to thrive and participate at their best. The students are learning about different holidays in the world to respect other children with different cultural backgrounds,” said Dr. C.M. Cash Elementary Fine Arts Teacher Maki House.
With the spirit of love and peace in their hearts, our students have not missed the reason for the season!
The singing and fine tune of music to Frosty the Snowman, Jingle Bells, and the Ugly Sweater to name a few were part of the celebration. Tis is the season to celebrate good health, academic achievements, and numerous milestones that all of our students have accomplished!
“Holiday spirits are all over! Despite the circumstances, children continue to show motivation and appreciation for their activities. Scholars ring the bells and play as many percussion instruments as possible to spread cheer and love with the scholars who continue to attend classes from home,” continued House.
May everyone have a safe and peaceful holiday with your loved ones.
From Our Family to Yours, Merry Christmas and a Prosperous Blessed New Year 2021!!!
