An additional 167 Cameron County residents have tested positive for COVID-19, the county health department reported Monday afternoon.
This raises the total number of cases in Cameron County to 25,159.
The new cases include eight children ages 9 and under, and 30 people ages 10 to 19. Two residents ages 90 and older were also reported.
No deaths were reported Monday, keeping the total number of COVID-19 related deaths to 1,100, Cameron County Public Health said in a statement.
As part of the COVID-19 action response plan, Cameron County Public Health is conducting epidemiological investigations, contact tracing as needed and continues to monitor the situation.
