Three additional BPUB Employees Test Positive for COVID-19

The Brownsville Public Utilities Board announced Friday that three additional employees have tested positive for COVID-19 between Aug. 29 and Sep. 3.

The employees were last seen at BPUB facility between Aug. 6 and Aug. 31, the press release reads.

BPUB said several actions have already been taken as a precautionary measure, including:

>> Disinfecting and sanitizing of the employees’ work areas.

>> Disinfecting and sanitizing of common areas.

>> Working with city and county health officials.

“BPUB will continue to follow CDC guidelines for workplace safety, require employees to use facial coverings, promote good hygiene practices and share health, safety and travel guidelines with all employees,” the press release reads.
