State health officials confirmed an additional case of COVID-19 in Willacy County on Friday morning, bringing the county’s total confirmed cases of the disease to 22.
The latest case is of a woman in her 50s who reportedly contracted the disease through contact with an individual who previously tested positive, according to a news release issued Friday from the Department of State Health Services.
The woman is currently in isolation, the release stated.
