PORT ISABEL — In response to the lifting of mandates and the reopening of beaches and businesses, thousands people have started traveling to the Island through its sole route.
Tuesday afternoon, the Port Isabel Police Department addressed traffic congestion the Laguna Madre area has recently been experiencing.
“As you all have noticed, KV Power has been working on the electrical poles within our city,” a Port Isabel Police Department Facebook post stated. “This has caused traffic congestion in some areas so we ask that you remain patient through these construction zones.”
According to the department, personnel are working closely with KV Power to keep traffic flowing safely, as well as to have the project completed before summer.
