3 Redneck Tenors kick-off concert season

HARLINGEN — The Harlingen Concert Association kicks off its 2019-2020 season with a bit of comedy and lots of classic Broadway tunes as the 3 Redneck Tenors take the stage at the Harlingen Municipal Auditorium.

Featuring music from award-winning musicals like “Hello Dolly,” “Guys and Dolls,” “Oklahoma,” “Cats,” “Phantom of the Opera” and “Les Misérables,” audiences can expect an evening of family entertainment.

The 3 Redneck Tenors’ performance, called “Broadway Bound,” is scheduled for Friday, Nov. 22, at 7:30 p.m.

But don’t be fooled by the ensemble’s comedic name.

The members of the trio of tenors, Matthew Lord, Blake Davidson and Jonathan Frugé, each have impressive musical resumes and have appeared on stage at New York’s Metropolitan Opera, Carnegie Hall and other Lincoln Center performances.

The 3 Redneck Tenors were also finalists on the TV show, “America’s Got Talent.”
