HARLINGEN — In celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month in September, the Harlingen Public Library created an art contest.
Participating artists ages 18 or younger will share original works inspired and influenced by Hispanic artists and art.
Art entry forms can be found on the Harlingen Public Library Facebook page. Artists may drop off their art at any library service desk.
The deadline to submit artwork is Sunday, Sept. 16. Participants will be honored at the Hispanic Heritage Celebration on Saturday, Sept. 22. All art submissions will be displayed throughout Hispanic Heritage Month, ending on Oct. 15.
Contest guidelines
The contest is open to anyone age 18 or younger
Acceptable forms of media include paint, pencil charcoal, crayon, mixed media, and photography
Submissions must include a completed entry form
Entries must be ready to hang
Participants may submit as many pieces of art as they would like
Winners will be selected by community choice.
