Free movie nights in San Benito park, Harlingen golf course

How about enjoying a movie night at a golf course?

Friday night the Tony Butler Golf Course will be hosting Movies in the Park with a showing of Disney Pixar’s huge hit “Coco.”

Get there at 7 p.m. so the kids can enjoy fun games and activities and then watch the movie at 9 p.m.

The golf course snack bar will be open so you can buy drinks and snacks.

“Coco” centers on Día de los Muertos and 12 year-old Miguel’s journey to the Land of the Dead in search of his own heritage and history.

If you’ve already seen “Coco”, then consider visiting Stookey Park in San Benito where the parks department will be showing “Jumanji” on Friday night.

The movie is about four high school students who find old video game console and are drawn into the game’s jungle setting, literally becoming the adult avatars they chose.

The movie starts at 7:45 p.m. and there’s free popcorn for everyone.

In Brownsville, the free movies will be today at the city’s public libraries.

At the Southmost Branch Library kids can enjoy Despicable Me 3 beginning at 4:30 p.m. The Main Branch Library on Central Boulevard will show “Man of Steel” beginning at 6 p.m.
