The City of Harlingen has begun issuing sandbags for area residents and businesses.
The bags are being handed out at the Public Works Complex at 404 54th Street.
If you’re going to pickup the bags you will need proof you live in Harlingen. You’ll need a water bill and a photo ID.
Each resident will be give six bags and all businesses will be allowed 12 sandbags.

The county warehouse is located at 201 N. T Street in Harlingen. Residents must show proof of identification. They are also being asked to drive safely and only if the streets are not flooded. The sandbags will be available all day.
