Mobile phone bandit: Police looking for man who allegedly took cell phones

HARLINGEN — The Police Department is requesting assistance in locating and identifying a man who allegedly stole three cell phones from the local AT&T Store.

Video surveillance from the store shows the suspect walked off with merchandise valued at $3,250 from the AT&T store located at 1802 S. 77 Sunshine Strip, in Harlingen.

The theft occurred between 12:55 p.m. and 1:03 p.m. on Wednesday, May 16.

According to police, the male suspect reportedly grabbed the three cell phones and quickly exited the business.

The male subject was described as having a light complexion, tattoos on his arms and neck and wearing a maroon shirt, and shorts.

Anyone with information as to the identity or whereabouts of the male subject is encouraged to notify the Harlingen Police Department.
