HARLINGEN — Forecasters have issued small craft advisories for both gulf and bay waters from the Rio Grande north to Baffin Bay until 7 p.m. tonight.
Strong south winds of 25 to 30 mph are in store today along the South Texas coast with gulf seas five to eight feet.
Bay waters will be choppy to rough.
Rain and possible thunderstorms are possible overnight as a cold front comes through the region.
On Saturday, 20 to 25 mph winds will shift directly to the north.
