Brownsville Police Department Detectives would like to identify a man shown in security camera footage taking money out of a cash register at a local grocery store and fleeing.
The video shows a man, who seems to be on his phone and mulling about the store, make his way to an area behind a cash register and reach in, helping himself to the money.
The man is seen leaving the store and running to a white Dodge Avenger as a customer attempted to stop the suspect, who was able to drive away.
Police ask that anyone with information on the identity of whereabouts of the suspect call Brownsville Crime Stoppers at (956) 546-TIPS (8477).
Tipsters will remain anonymous and could be eligible for a cash reward.
